News Barrington Cancels Production of The Price Due to Broadway Revival; All My Sons Will Play Instead Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, artistic director, and Tristan Wilson, managing director, has canceled its previously announced production of Arthur Miller's The Price because a Broadway revival of the 1968 Tony-winning drama is being planned.

In its place the Pittsfield, MA, venue will present Miller’s 1947 Tony-winning play All My Sons. Artistic director Boyd will direct.

"I am sorry we will not be able to do The Price but absolutely delighted we can produce the play that put Arthur Miller on the map - and a play that is extremely relevant in today's world," stated Boyd.

Performances will run July 19-Aug. 4 with an official opening July 22.

Set in post-World War II, the drama, according to press notes, "examines the relationships between fathers and sons and the price of living the American Dream. An explosive secret threatens to tear a family apart in this powerful play about the conflict between business ethics and taking responsibility for one’s actions."

Single tickets for All My Sons and the 2012 season go on sale Feb. 15. For information call (413) 236-8888 or visit www.barringtonstageco.org.
