News Barrington Stage Company Opens 1998 Season with Night Music The Barrington Stage Company of Great Barrington, MA, is opening its 1998 summer season with the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler musical A Little Night Music, which marks its 25th anniversary this year. The staging is a co-production with Albany's Capital Repertory Theatre and Orpheum/Foxborough of Foxborough, MA. The show begins performances on June 24 for a run through July 19. Barrington Artistic Director Julianne Boyd directs a cast including Michael DeVries as Fredrik Egerman, Leslie Denniston as Desiree Armfeldt, Becca Ayers as Petra, Victoria Boothby as Madame Armfeldt, Emma Lampert as Anne Egerman, Seth Teter as Henrik Egerman, Christopher Vettel as Count Carl Magnus, and Gayton Scott as Countess Charlotte Magnus.

Boyd directed the Off-Broadway productions of A...My Name Is Alice and its sequel A...My Name Is Still Alice. She founded Barrington with Susan Sperber in 1994.
