According to the Hollywood Bowl website, the outdoor theatre will offer There'll Be Another Spring: A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee on July 14 at 8 PM. Among the artists set to interpret such Lee signature tunes as "Why Don't You Do Right?," "Fever," "Lover," "Golden Earrings," "Big Spender" and "Is That All There Is?" are Arthur, Clark and Moreno as well as Freddy Cole, Rita Coolidge, Nnenna Freelon, Jack Jones, Jane Monheit and Nancy Sinatra. Mike Renzi will be the evening's musical director; other musicians include Jay Leonhart, John Pisano and Grady Tate. Peggy Lee was born Norma Egstrom in May 1920. Her distinctive vocal style was noticed by Henry Goodman who hired the singer to perform with his band. Also a composer and an actress, Lee garnered an Academy Award nomination for her role in the 1955 jazz film, "Pete Kelly's Blues." She won a Grammy Award for the song "Is That All There Is?" and she made her Broadway debut at the age of 62 in the 1983 production Peg. Lee was awarded the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers' Pied Piper Award in 1990. The jazz legend died of a heart attack on Jan 21, 2002.
