News Beautiful Soup Benefit to Feature Ashley Kate Adams, Billy Butler, Denis Lambert and More The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective, founded by artistic director Steven Carl McCasland, will present Miscast, an evening of performers tackling inappropriate musical theatre tunes, July 10 at 7:30 PM at The TAI GROUP [formerly The Actor's Institute] in Manhattan.

McCasland, who will drink from his own vodka stinger as a lady who lunches, will be joined by Ashley Kate Adams (Broadway's La Cage Aux Folles), Billy Butler (creator of Gay Bride of Frankenstein), Miguel Jarquin-Moreland (national tour of Rent), Denis Lambert (A Chorus Line), Shannon Agnew, Roxy Arrojo, Mallory Berlin, Alix Black, Emily Floyd, Kathleen Gubitosi, Laura Intravia, William Kahn, Anne Richmond, Jennifer Spears, Stephanie Streisand ("Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"), Laurie Strickland (The Harvey Milk Show) and Nikki Van Cassele (national tour of Cabaret). "Ever want to see Patti LuPone don a curly, red wig and belt out 'Tomorrow'?" ask press notes for the benefit evening. "Or Michael Crawford in a cat suit singing 'Memory'? Or maybe Vanessa Redgrave as Willy Loman? Well, Webster's defines 'miscast' as: 1. to cast badly, 2. A silent auction, with items ranging from coachings with Tony nominees and MAC Award winners to headshot packages and spiritual readings, will be part of the evening.
