Actor Tom Beckett, voiceless Mr. Foley of TV's "Remember WENN," will make his cabaret debut, with special guest Judy Blazer, July 1 at The Players Club in Manhattan, in a benefit for the Cornell HIV Clinical Trials Unit.

Beckett, a veteran of Broadway's Epic Proportions and Off-Broadway's Communicating Doors and Travels With My Aunt, calls the show "an evening of cocktails and songs about them." He's chosen favorite tunes about hooch, drinking and the inevitable blues that follow. Expect "Scotch and Soda," "One for My Baby," "Angel Eyes," "Blue Champagne," "The Pina Colada Song" and more, plus pal Blazer singing "A Case of You," and a duet of "I Get a Kick Out of You."

Beckett and Blazer recently appeared together in Twelfth Night at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT. She's a veteran actress-singer who was seen in Titanic and appeared last season in Neil Simon's 45 Seconds From Broadway.

"I have always wanted to do a cabaret, and this is a chance to test it out for something I believe in," Beckett told Playbill On Line. "I've been mostly a boring non-musical actor, and I wanted to stretch a little. I've never done a musical. That's a lie — I did them in college, but it sounds better if I say I've never done them. I am scared pantless, I'm terrified."

Musical director-pianist is Matt Perri. Rob Jost is on bass. They are billed as the Dipsomaniacs. The performance is at 8:30 PM July 1 at The Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park. Tickets start at $50 per person, with a portion tax deductible. For reservations, call (212) 821-0543.
