PlayBlog Behind the Choreography of Chicago Shakespeare Theater's Follies (Video) Alex Sanchez, who also choreographed the Broadway production of Fosse, offers a glimpse into the rehearsal process for Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies, which recently opened at Chicago Shakespeare Theater's Courtyard Theater Oct. 12, following previews that began Oct. 4.

Gary Griffin directs the limited engagement, which recently extended though Nov. 13. Here, Sanchez explains the different styles that he is incorporating into the Chicago production and goes behind-the-scenes during a choreography rehearsal with Caroline O'Connor, who stars as Phyllis in Follies.

The musical also stars Robert Petkoff as Buddy, Brent Barrett as Ben, Susan Moniz as Sally, Hollis Resnik as Carlotta, Mike Nussbaum as Weismann, Kathy Taylor as Solange, Adrian Aguilar as Young Ben, Bill Chamberlain as Roscoe, Rachel Cantor as Young Phyllis, L.R. Davidson as Young Sally, David Elliott as Max Deems, Andrew Keltz as Young Buddy, Amanda Kroiss as Young Solange, Christina Myers as Young Stella, Kari Sorenson as Young Heidi, Amanda Tanguay as Young Carlotta, showgirls Jen Donohoo and Jenny Guse, and ensemble members Devin Archer, Julius C. Carter, Rhett Guter, Nate Lewellyn and Tanner Smale.
