Cabaret & Concert News Ben Platt Announces Cities and Dates for Sing to Me Instead Concert Tour The Dear Evan Hansen Tony winner will hit New York, Boston, Austin, and more.

Tony Award-winning actor Ben Platt has announced the upcoming concert tour for his debut solo album, Sing To Me Instead.

Platt will play the following dates:
May 3 - Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Illinois
May 4 - Fisher Theatre in Detroit, Michigan
May 6 - Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
May 8 - Wang Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts
May 11 - The Anthem in Washington, D.C.
May 12 - The Met Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
May 14 - Beacon Theatre in New York City
May 16 - Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia
May 18 - ACL Live at The Moody Theatre in Austin, Texas
May 19 - Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas
May 22 - Masonic Theatre in San Francisco California
May 24 - Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California

The artist dropped the album single Bad Habit and its official music video February 1 and has since released the official video for the second track on the album, Ease My Mind. The album from Atlantic Records will be released March 29 and is available for pre-order.

As announced on Platt’s Twitter, concert tour pre-sale for American Express cardholders and those who have pre-ordered the album begins February 15. General ticket sales and VIP Meet & Greet packages begin February 22.

Platt broke out as Benji in the 2012 hit film Pitch Perfect and that same year was cast as Elder Cunningham in the Chicago production of The Book of Mormon. He then transferred to the Broadway production in 2014. He created the role of Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen from early readings through the out-of-town tryout at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., to Off-Broadway’s Second Stage, and, finally, Broadway. Along with the 2017 Tony Award, Platt earned the Distinguished Performance Award by the Drama League and was the youngest performer ever to do so.
