News Benanti, von Essen, Champlin, Diaz and More Sing Flopz and Cutz Songs Feb. 26 A host of familiar theatre faces will take part in two concerts — Flopz 2: Miss Hannigan’s Revenge and Cutz — that will be presented Feb. 26 at Joe’s Pub.

The roster of performers is scheduled to include Laura Benanti, Christopher Hanke, John Cariani, Lisa Howard, Steve Ross, Alexander Gemignani, Max von Essen, Leo Ash Evans, Lauren Molina, Donna Lynne Champlin, Natascia Diaz, Marty Thomas, Natalie Joy Johnson, Adam Fleming, D.B. Bonds, Rashad Naylor, Nick Cearley, Brooke Sunny Moriber, Eric Michael Gillett and Tom DeGrezia. Some of the actors will appear in only one of the two concerts, some in both shows. The Flopz concert, which offers “the best songs from egregiously overlooked shows,” will begin at 7 PM, while the Cutz concert, offering “songs you don’t know from shows you love,” will commence at 9 PM. Producer Jamie McGonnigal will direct the evening of little-heard tunes with musical direction by Michael Lavine.

The Flopz and Cutz series, according to press notes, “aim to acquaint theatre enthusiasts with shows and songs that, while not quite successful in their original incarnations, still have merits that can be showcased in a concert setting.”

Tickets for both concerts are $25 each. Those wishing to attend both can do so for $40. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Joey DiPaolo AIDS Foundation and CAMP TLC. Joe’s Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Avenue. For reservations call (212) 239-6200 or visit www.telecharge.com.
