The Williamstown Theatre Festival's "Fridays @ 3" reading series will continue on July 14 with Brooke Berman's Strange Kindness, directed by Anne Kaufman. No cast has been announced.
Berman is a two-time winner (for Wonderland in 1998 and Playing House in 2000) of the Francesa Primus Playwriting Prize, co-sponsored by Denver Center Theatre Company and the Francesca Ronnie Primus Foundation. Strange Kindness concerns a 25-year-old virgin "whose father thinks he's Blanche DuBois and whose mother just might be Audrey Hepburn in a trailer park."
The "Friday @ 3" series began with a June 30 reading of Neena Beber's new play Jump Slash Cut, starring Josh Hamilton and Jessica Hecht. Maria Mileaf directed. Both Berman and Beber recently took part in a play lab at NYC's Soho Rep.
