The Williamstown Theatre Festival's "Fridays @ 3" reading series will continue on July 14 with Brooke Berman's Strange Kindness, directed by Anne Kaufman. No cast has been announced.

Berman is a two-time winner (for Wonderland in 1998 and Playing House in 2000) of the Francesa Primus Playwriting Prize, co-sponsored by Denver Center Theatre Company and the Francesca Ronnie Primus Foundation. Strange Kindness concerns a 25-year-old virgin "whose father thinks he's Blanche DuBois and whose mother just might be Audrey Hepburn in a trailer park."

The "Friday @ 3" series began with a June 30 reading of Neena Beber's new play Jump Slash Cut, starring Josh Hamilton and Jessica Hecht. Maria Mileaf directed. Both Berman and Beber recently took part in a play lab at NYC's Soho Rep.

Future attractions include:

• July 21: A special performance by the WTF Act I Company of selections from John Ford's 'Tis Pity She's a Whore
• July 28: The Sad Misadventures of Patty, Patty's Dad, Patty's Friend Jen and a Bunch of Other People by Allison Moore, directed by Emma Griffin
• Aug. 4: Dawn Patrol by Hunt Holman, directed by Amy Feinberg
• Aug. 11: September Forever by Chris Van Groningen. --By Robert Simonson
