News Beth Malone and Steve Blanchard Will Star in Annie Get Your Gun at San Diego Musical Theatre San Diego Musical Theatre will present Annie Get Your Gun, Irving Berlin's musical comedy about sharpshooter Annie Oakley.

Performances begin May 9, prior to an official opening May 10. Annie Get Your Gun will continue through May 25 at the North Park Theatre.

Directed by John Todd, the production will star Beth Malone (Fun Home, Ring of Fire) as Annie Oakley and Steve Blanchard (Beauty and the Beast, Camelot) as Frank Butler.

The cast also includes John Polhamus, Paul Morgavo, Sean Tamburrino, Debbie David, Jeni Baker, Steven Rada, Jim Marshall, Conor Tibbs, Amy Beth Batchelor, Eric Betts, Liz Daniels, Carlos Ferrusca, Siri Hafso, Danny Hansen, Aurore Joly, Tellina Lee, Tamara Rodriguez, Justin Segura, Taylor Simmons, Noah Baird, Ava Bunn, Taylor Coleman and Claire Scheper.

Annie Get Your Gun features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by Herbert Fields and Dorothy Fields. The musical opened on Broadway in 1946, starring Tony Award winner Ethel Merman as Annie Oakley. It was revived in 1966 with Merman reprising her performance. Another revival, featuring Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters and a revised libretto by Tony, Oscar and Emmy winner Peter Stone, opened in 1999.

The production features the songs "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better," "I Got The Sun in the Morning" and "There's No Business Like Show Business." Annie Get Your Gun will feature choreography by Todd, musical direction by Don LeMaster, lighting design by Matthew Novotny and costume coordination by Janet Pitcher. Megan Sprowls is stage manager.
