News Bette Midler Joins The Voice The stage and screen star will be a guest mentor on the popular NBC singing competition.

Bette Midler, who will return to Broadway later this season in the eagerly awaited revival of Jerry Herman's Hello, Dolly!, will mentor contestants on the upcoming season of NBC’s The Voice.

Midler, according to TVline.com, will join Charlie Puth, Sammy Hagar and Joan Jett as guest mentors for the 11th season of the popular vocal competition.

Midler is scheduled to assist the contestants chosen by Voice coach Blake Shelton. A special half-hour episode of the reality singing competition will air August 21 at 10:30 PM ET following the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
