In the interview above, Buckley says that her favorite version of Stephen Sondheim's “I'm Still Here” is the one recorded by Stritch. (Buckley offers her own thrilling version on the new recording.) Buckley, who is a Saturn Awards nominee for Best Featured Actress for her work in M. Night Shyamalan’s film Split, also explains that Stritch would appear in her life when she needed “some particular word of wisdom.”

As previously reported, Tony winner Buckley will be honored with the Julie Harris Award for Artistic Achievement at the annual Tony Awards Viewing Party June 11 in Los Angeles. The event, which runs 3:30–8 PM, will feature red carpet arrivals, a cocktail hour, gala dinner, live performances, a silent auction, and the West Coast’s exclusive live feed of the 2017 Tony Awards broadcast from New York City.

Buckley offered singular performances in Broadway's Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776, Triumph of Love, and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises, Dear World, and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter.
