News Bianco, Bradshaw, Kreiezmar and West to Star in Forbidden Broadway Dances with the Stars! As previously announced, Forbidden Broadway, the Drama Desk Award-winning revue, will return from its spring hiatus June 28 with a new edition.

Entitled Forbidden Broadway Dances with the Stars!, the summer edition of Gerard Alessandrini's show that spoofs theatrical shows, stars and trends plays Off-Broadway's 47th Street Theatre. Alessandrini and Phillip George direct. The new edition, according to press notes, features "past favorites in addition to new spoofs including South Pacific, Patti LuPone in Gypsy and Grease - You're the One That I Hate!" The cast will comprise Christina Bianco, Jared Bradshaw, Gina Kreiezmar and Michael West with David Caldwell on piano.

Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, the last edition of the long-running revue, won the 2008 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revue. In his acceptance speech producer John Freedson said, "We accept this award in memory of the great costume designer Alvin Colt, who elevated our show and our lives for 15 years." During its lengthy run Forbidden Broadway has won six Drama Desk Awards and a Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre.

The creative team for Forbidden Broadway also includes Megan K. Halpern (set design), the late Alvin Colt (costume design), David Moyer (additional costumes), Mark T. Simpson (lighting design) and David Caldwell (musical direction).

Show times for Forbidden Broadway Dances with the Stars! are Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 7:30 PM with matinees Wednesdays at 2 PM, Saturdays at 4 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
