Urinetown's Bill Buell and "The Sopranos"' Suzanne Shepherd will join the cast of Januz Glowacki's The Fourth Sister, already set to star Jessica Hecht, Marin Hinkle and Alicia Goranson. This U.S premiere begins performances Oct. 31 at the Vineyard Theatre for an official opening Nov. 20. Lisa Peterson (The Batting Cage) directs.

With a knowing wink at Chekhov and Cinderella, Glowacki's Fourth Sister finds three Muscovite sisters yearning for the products of post-Communist Russia with dreams of freedom - Hollywood style. Glowacki is the author of Antigone in New York and Hunting Cockroaches.

Buell's Broadway credits also include Titanic and The Who's Tommy. Shepard plays Edie Falco's mother on "The Sopranos" and was featured in the films "Requiem for a Dream" and "Living Out Loud."

Hecht starred as Layla in Broadway's Last Night of Ballyhoo and in Off-Broadway's Stop Kiss, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Todl and Lobster Alice. Hinkle, whose Broadway credits include The Tempest, Electra and A Thousand Clowns, was most recently featured on TV's "Once and Again." Goranson, a vet of TV's "Roseanne," also appeared in the films "How to Make an American Quilt" and "Boys Don't Cry."

Completing the cast are Lee Pace (The Credeaux Canvas), Jase Blankfort, Daniel Oreskes, Steven Ratazzi and Louis Tucci. Designing the show are Rachel Hauck (sets), Mattie Ullrich (costumes), Kevin Adams (lighting) and Jill Duboff (sound). The original score is by Gina Leishman.
