News Billy Porter to Record Solo CD Live at Joe's Pub Billy Porter, who played the Teen Angel in the long-running Grease! revival, will record his second solo album live at Joe's Pub.

On May 9, 10 and 17, Porter will offer concerts at the intimate cabaret within the Public Theater that will be recorded live for his sophomore album. Entitled "At the Corner of Broadway & Soul," the evenings will include a mix of Broadway, pop and gospel tunes. Show time is 7:30 PM. Billy Porter was recently seen in the Public Theater's productions of Merchant of Venice and King Lear. His Broadway credits include Grease!, Miss Saigon, Five Guys Named Moe, Smokey Joe's Cafe and the Dreamgirls Actors' Fund benefit. Regionally, Porter has appeared in Angels in America and Going Native, and his screen credits include "Broken Hearts Club," "Shake Rattle & Roll" and "The Intern."
