Directed by Michael Wilson, performances begin Nov. 20 and continue through Dec. 7 at the Emerson/Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston, MA.

Presented in association with Center Theatre Group, the production of Foote's story of an elderly woman's journey to her childhood home will also feature Tony Award nominee Vanessa Williams.

Williams (After Midnight, Into the Woods) and Tyson (The Corn is Green, "Sounder") appeared together in the Tony-nominated 2013 Broadway revival of Bountiful as Jessie Mae Watts and Carrie Watts, respectively, and the two reprised their performances in the recent Lifetime Television film adaptation, joined by Underwood, who played Ludie Watts.

Underwood made his Broadway debut as Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, and his Shakespeare credits include Measure for Measure and Othello. His screen work includes "In Treatment," "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Deep Impact" and "Gattaca." He will also reprise his role in the production in Los Angeles, CA, at the Ahmanson Theatre.

"Living in a cramped apartment with her son and daughter-in-law (Vanessa Williams), Carrie dreams of making one final journey to her hometown of Bountiful," press notes state. "What follows is Foote's masterpiece of memory, mortality, and the undeniable, universal yearning for home." "The play – a classic. The cast – outstanding," ArtsEmerson director of artistic programs David Dower said in a statement. "That we will host this dream team during the Thanksgiving season is sure to make lasting memories for intergenerational family audiences throughout Boston’s neighborhoods."

The Broadway production was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Actress in a Play (Cicely Tyson), Best Featured Actress in a Play (Condola Rashad), Best Sound Design for a Play (John Gromada) and Best Revival of a Play. Tyson won the Tony Award for her performance as Mother Carrie Watts, as well as the Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award.
