The concert celebrating Gordon's work will feature the composer as well as Broadway's Judy Blazer and Diane Fratantoni Sutherland. Show time is 7 PM. About the "Queer Songbook" series, Ector Simpson, the Center’s Director of Cultural Programs, said in a statement, "This new series is so important because it allows us to celebrate the diverse talents of emerging songwriters from within our own community. There is so much talent in the LGBT community, and now we can support these artists." Ricky Ian Gordon’s My Life with Albertine was presented at Playwrights Horizons. His other works include Dream True, States of Independence, Stonewall/Night Variations, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, Only Heaven, Autumn Valentine, Sweet Song and Morning Star. His songs have been recorded by such artists as Betty Buckley, Audra McDonald and Dawn Upshaw.

Blazer was recently seen as the ill-fated Beggar Woman in New York City Opera's production of Sweeney Todd.
