The Common Basis Theatre's production of Bleecker Street Comics, a new play by Leslie Caputo, closes tonight at the Common Basis Theatre.
The play is set in a Greenwich Village comic store, run by a father and his teenage son. They get completely involved in the life of the comic book heroes that surround them and with friends who come to the shop. However, when the mother who abandoned them 12 years ago returns, their entire world is challenged, and they face emotions that had almost been completely forgotten.
The cast features Jack Caputo, Andrew Farrar, Etienne Navarre, Olga Denoi and Susan Kostalow. The production has been directed by Common Basis artistic director Marcia Haufrecht.
Bleecker Street Comics closes tonight. For tickets ($15) and more information, call (212) 340-1112 or visit the Common Basis Theatre's website at www.commonbasis.org.
