The Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Los Angeles—the oldest puppet theatre in the U.S.—will leave its longtime home of more than five decades in November. The final day the theatre will be open to the public, according to its website, will be November 23 (the same day the company opened 55 years ago).

On November 24, the Bob Baker Marionette Theater will open Bob Baker's Nutcracker at the Pasadena Playhouse for a five-week run. The production will mark the first time in the company’s history that the holiday show is playing in a new location.

As the Bob Baker Marionette Theater transitions into a nonprofit education institution as well as a theatre, the organization will relocate to a soon-to-be-announced new location. Learn more about the future of the theatre at
