News Bonhams Auction House to Sell Estate of Tony Winner Lauren Bacall The estate of Lauren Bacall, the acclaimed actress who died Aug. 12 at the age of 89, will be sold at Bonhams auction house, New York in March 2015.

The collection, which includes approximately 700 lots that will be offered by Bonhams, includes eight sculptures by the British 20th-century sculptor Henry Moore, two of which will be sold in the Impressionist and Modern sale in November.

Also included in the estate auction are contemporary prints, modern and contemporary art, English and French 18th and 19th-century furniture, English Majolica, tribal works of art, jewelry, couture and Louis Vuitton and Goyard luggage.

Bacall acquired pieces at galleries and auctions in California, New York and London, and also when in Paris and Rome. Her interest in African art developed as a result of being on location with Humphrey Bogart while he was filming "The African Queen" with Katharine Hepburn.

Bacall was a two-time Tony Award winner for her performances in the Broadway musicals Applause and Woman of the Year. Other Broadway appearances included Goodbye Charlie, Cactus Flower  and Noel Coward's Waiting in the Wings.

Her film credits include "The Big Sleep" (1946), "Dark Passage" (1947) "Key Largo" (1948), in which she co-starred with husband Humphrey Bogart. She also starred in "How to Marry a Millionaire," "Designing Woman" and "The Mirror Has Two Faces," for which she received an Academy Award nomination. Bonhams is the sole auction house dealing with Bacall's estate.
