The cast also features Jeremy Varner, Stephen Mitchell Brown, Griffeth Whitehurst, Jared Brodie, Justin Thompson, Jordan Godwin, Alexandra Duncan, Julissa Sabino, Chase Steven Anderson, Joshua Brook, Paul Gourdeau, Robbie Kirkland, Bert Lyons, Dakota Kuykendall, Tara Chiusano, Katie Patterson, Amy Alford and Mandy Mitchell with Kelly Wilson, Kaley Bunce, Ann Marie Meeker, Catherine Cervone, Chris Copelan, Lily Ramos, Morgan Miller, Elizabeth Wilson and Alex Huff.

Rocket Boys is directed by Legacy artistic director Mark Smith with choreography by Bethany Hayes Smith and musical direction by Jodi Cotton, John Michael d’Haviland and Joseph Baker.

Rocket Boys, according to press notes, concerns a "misfit coal-miner’s son who recruits some skeptical friends to join him in his quest to build rockets and conquer space."

"Rocket Boys" was the inspiration for the film "October Sky"; in fact, the latter is an anagram of the original title.
