The cast will include Mark Strong (as Eddie Carbone), Nicola Walker (as Eddie’s wife Beatrice), Phoebe Fox (as his niece Catherine), Emun Elliott (as Marco), Russell Tovey (Rodolpho), Richard Hansell (Louis) and Michael Gould (as Alfieri).
Acclaimed Belgian director Ivo van Hove will be making his Broadway debut with A View from the Bridge, which will officially open Nov. 12 at the Lyceum. The limited 17-week engagement will continue through Feb. 21, 2016.
The production has scenic and lighting design by longtime van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys and sound design by Tom Gibbons.
The Young Vic production premiered in April 2014 to ecstatic reviews and instantly sold out its initial engagement. The production subsequently transferred to London’s West End, where it recently concluded another sold-out run. The production won Olivier Awards for Best Revival, Best Director and actor Strong.
This fall's revival of A View from the Bridge, produced by Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater, will allow audience members a more immersive experience via onstage seating. Located on two sides of the stage, the seats are priced $50 each during previews and $135 each after opening. The view from these seats will be unrestricted.
