Boyd Gaines, the folksy actor who played Bobby in the Roundabout Theatre’s Company and Georg in Roundabout’s She Loves Me, will step into the role of Clifford Bradshaw in Roundabout’s Cabaret Mar. 2, the show’s spokesperson said Feb. 4.
John Benjamin Hickey, who originated the role of the American outsider in the hot revival, leaves the show Feb. 28. The 1966 John Kander-Fred Ebb musical is based on Christopher Isherwood’s tales of 1930 Berlin and the play, I Am a Camera.
Mary McCormack, the previously-announced new Sally Bowles, replacing Jennifer Jason Leigh, also begins performances Mar. 2.
Still with the show are Blair Brown (Schneider) and original cast members Denis O'Hare (Ernst), Michele Pawk (Kost) and Tony-winner Ron Rifkin (Schultz).
