Classic Arts News Branford Marsalis Quartet Set for U.S. Tour Saxophonist Branford Marsalis and his quartet will begin a 21-date, nationwide tour this month to promote its new album, Eternal (Marsalis Music).
The album, a collection of original and classic ballads, is due in stores September 14, and features pianist Joey Calderazzo, bassist Eric Revis, and drummer Jeff "Tain" Watts. The tour begins September 16 with a three-night stop in Washington D.C., and continues through December, with performances in California, Florida, and Alabama.

As part of the tour, Marsalis will also perform classical repertoire with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra (Sept. 25-26) and with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Dec. 16-18).

October 22: University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL
November 3: Kimmel Center, Philadelphia, PA
November 4: Emory University, Atlanta, GA
December 16-18: Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago, IL
