News Break Out, from Jump Creators, to Play Off-Broadway's Union Square Previews for Break Out, a dance comedy spectacle from the creators of Jump, will begin previews at Off-Broadway's Union Square Theatre Sept. 18.

The production, which was created by SevenSense and features a cast of ten, will officially open Sept. 23. Show and Arts Inc. will produce the limited engagement, which is scheduled to run through Oct. 12.

Break Out, according to press notes, is a "mostly nonverbal dance comedy [that] tells the tale of a night-in-the-life of a group of desperate prisoners whose nightmare existence changes beyond belief when an ancient and sacred text mysteriously drops into the prison. This mysterious arrival inspires the inmates to plan a daring escape into the outside world, where they are able to enjoy a brief, and hilarious, moment of freedom."

The cast comprises Dae-Hyeok Lim, Won-Jun Song, Jong-Wook Jeong, Chul-Hee Han, Yong-Nam Song, Jae-Hong Park, Seong-June Park, Ji-Hee Jang, Jin-Hee Kim and Yoon-Hui Choi.

The design team includes Se-Jin Han (visual arts design), Tae-Young Kim (set design), Yun-Young Koo (lighting design), Yo-Chan Kim (sound design), Hee-Ju Kim (costume design), Mi-Suk Kim (make-up design) and Hee-Jung Lim (props design) with original music penned by Sang-Ku Kang and Wook-Hyun Lee.

Break Out premiered in Seoul in April 2007 and has subsequently played London and the Edinburgh Fringe, among other international destinations. Show times will be Tuesday-Thursday at 8 PM, Friday at 7 and 10 PM, Saturday at 3 and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
