Brian d'Arcy James, who received a Tony Award nomination last season for his work in the short-lived musical Sweet Smell of Success, will take part in the Nov. 15 edition of Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series. The series, which kicked off Oct. 11 with a concert from Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, will offer an evening entitled "What Makes Leonard Bernstein Great?" on Nov. 15. The 8 PM concert will be hosted by NPR commentator and composer Rob Kapilow and will feature the vocals of Brian d'Arcy James, who will perform selections from Bernstein's vast catalogue.

In addition to Sweet Smell, Brian d'Arcy James has also appeared on Broadway in the Tony-winning musical Titanic, the Tony-winning revival of Carousel, the London hit Blood Brothers as well as the national tour of Les Misérables. His Off-Broadway credits include The Good Thief (Obie Award), The Wild Party, Ancestral Voices, Velvet Vise, Public Enemy and Floyd Collins.
