Dennehy performed in the double bill of Eugene O'Neill's Hughie and Sean O'Casey's A Pound on Demand at Rhode Island's Trinity Repertory Company this past spring.
The production, which became the highest-selling production in Trinity's Dowling Theater, started Feb. 20 and opened Feb. 25 for a run that extended to April 4.
Catherine Baker Steindler directs the Tony Award winner Dennehy in the O'Neill-O'Casey double bill at the Providence, Rhode Island venue. The cast also included Joe Grifasi (who plays opposite Dennehy in Hughie) as well as Cynthia Strickland, William Damkoehler and Ginger Eckert.
Grifasi will reprise his work at the Goodman.
Hughie will be Falls and Dennehy's fourth go-around with the Irish American master. Past collaborations include Long Day's Journey into Night, A Touch of the Poet and The Iceman Cometh. The first was seen on Broadway and won Dennehy a Tony.
Tickets ($20-35) are available first for subscribers on Sept. 7; remaining seats will be available beginning Sept. 27. Call (312) 443-3800.
