News Brier, Chase, Wilson, Rubin-Vega, Porter and Scott Will Be Rockers On Broadway Jan. 29 A slew of Broadway performers will rock Rockers On Broadway: Jersey Style Jan. 29, 2007, at BB King Blues Club & Grill in Manhattan.

Headlining the event are the four leads from Jersey Boys — Daniel Reichard, J. Robert Spencer and Tony Award winners John Lloyd Young and Christian Hoff.

Also announced to appear are Kathy Brier (Hairspray), Will Chase (High Fidelity), Jarrod Emick (Damn Yankees), Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys), Michael Lanning (The Civil War), Norm Lewis (Les Misérables), Billy Porter (Smokey Joe’s Café), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Les Misérables), Greg Reuter (Spamalot), Sara Schmidt (Jersey Boys), Jeremy Schonfeld (Drift), Sherie René Scott (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Matt Stocke (The Wedding Singer) and Patrick Wilson (The Full Monty). Caroline Rhea hosts.

The country star Larry Gatlin, the singer-songwriter Kate Taylor and the 1960s group The Tokens (“The Lion Sleeps Tonight”) will also perform.

The event is a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Wingspan Arts, Inc., presented by Donnie Kehr, Cori Gardner and Good To Go Entertainment.

Kehr founded the Rockers on Broadway series in 1993 to give Broadway actors the experience of performing in a rock concert. The BB King Blues Club & Grill is in Manhattan at 237 West 42nd Street. For more information visit www.rockersonbroadway.com.
