British playwright Chris Lee will have the American premiere of his play, Eat the Enemy, at Houston's Theatre LaB, opening Wednesday, Aug. 25 for a run through Sept. 19. Enemy takes place at a dinner party through four separate scenes. The same characters maintain the same ages, even though each sequence is set in a different decade, each one poisoned by its own distinctive malaise. Covered are the self-conscious outrageousness of the 60s, the insipidity of the 70's, the boorishness of the 80's and the caring, sharing hopelessness of the 90's. Enemy was first produced at London's The Old Red Lion Theatre this past winter.

Ed Muth will direct a cast featuring Joel Sandel, Jerry Miller, Marie Hennebery.
