The co-production between the Ohio regional theatre and the Dayton university will feature a cast of stage veterans and WSU acting students. August: Osage County will run Sept. 23-Oct. 10, officially opening both the Human Race and Wright Stage theatrical seasons. It will be presented at WSU.

Marley, who stood by for Tony-winning actress Deanna Dunagan as Violet on Broadway, will lead the cast that also features Human Race resident actor Scott Stoney as her husband, Beverly Weston.

Broadway August cast member Rainbow Dickerson, who understudied the role of Weston maid Johnna, will perform that role in the co-production. The cast will also feature professional actors Kristie Berger, Brian David Evans, Daniel Britt and Bill Simmons.

WSU students cast in the production are Maddie Casto, Chelsey Cavender, Jason David Collins, Kelsey Hopkins, Greg Mallios and Alex Sunderhaus.

Human Race artistic director Marsha Hanna will co-direct with cast member Stoney. The design and technical team will align artists from WSU and the Human Race.

August: Osage County marks the inaugural collaboration for the two organizations.
