Broadway Bikes Fundraiser Rolls Out Today | Playbill

News Broadway Bikes Fundraiser Rolls Out Today Something Rotten! leading lady Heidi Blickenstaff and her husband Nicholas Rohlfing host the Broadway Bikes fundraising event Oct. 4 in New York City to benefit Bike MS: New York 2015, a charity that fights multiple sclerosis.

Anyone 12 and older can take part. Blickenstaff and Rohlfing have ridden in the event for several years now, but this year, for the first time, they have organized a team of Broadway actors, writers, musicians — and just plain fans — to enter and ride together.

Bike MS has three route options: 30, 55 or 100 miles, but Broadway Bikes is sticking to the 30-mile ride, which takes bikers around Manhattan island.

The Broadway Bikes team rolls out promptly at 7:30 AM Oct. 4 on Twelfth Avenue (the West Side Highway) and West 46th Street, five blocks west of the Broadway theatre district. The circular route ends at 711 Twelfth Avenue (pier 92/24 at West 52nd Street).

There is a $100 registration fee with a fundraising minimum of $200. Click here for more information.

According to the Bike MS website, "For every dollar raised, more than 75 cents is spent on research, and programs and services for people living with MS and their families living in the five boroughs and Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties."
