Presented by the The Broadway League and Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds, the event "recognizes the myriad of artists, technicians, and craftspeople who have made Broadway great for decades."

Marc Bruni directs the event, which features a musical performance by Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (Bonnie & Clyde, Cinderella). Charlie Alterman serves as musical director.

Broadway Salutes pays tribute to the work of theatre professionals including stagehands, wardrobe workers, hair and makeup artists, theatre owners, actors, producers, playwrights, casting directors, general managers, publicists, ushers, designers, musicians, directors, choreographers and more, who have worked 25, 35 and 50 years within their crafts.

The event begins with a meet-and-greet and pinning at 3:30 PM, followed by the ceremony at 4:30 PM. A special video montage capturing the honorees at work will be screened. It is open to the public.
