Let Me Try That Again: Take 4, a concert hosted by Susan Blackwell and Rory O'Malley in which performers relive their terrible performances, will be held September 18 at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

The fourth annual benefit for The Performing Arts Project, featuring music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Tuck Everlasting), will begin at 9:30 PM.

This year’s contestants include Nick Blaemire (The Spongebob Musical), Lesli Margherita (Dames at Sea) and Tony Award winners Billy Crudup (Arcadia) and Ruthie Ann Miles (The King & I); others will be announced.

Let Me Try That Again promises “an evening of fabulous performers sharing their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment. At the end of the evening, the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed themselves through their efforts that night.”

The concert event was conceived by Steven Pasquale (Robber Bridegroom, Bridges of Madison County). “This benefit is to remind us all that we all have failed. And failed miserably; in my case in particular,” says Pasquale. “But it’s also to remind us about persistence, and focus, and moving forward. And about recognizing how important it is to not take ourselves too seriously. It will be a crazy fun night.”
