That is, he has been appointed the new ringmaster for 136th edition of the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, which is due to play New York's Madison Square Garden from March 23 to April 16, 2006, in the course of an extensive United States tour. Wagner recently appeared in the Prince Music Theater's new concert staging of Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents' Anyone Can Whistle in Philadelphia. His Broadway and touring credits include the title role in Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse's Jekyll & Hyde, the Beast in the Broadway company of Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods, Inspector Javert in the Broadway and touring Les Miserables and performing Athos in The Three Musketeers.

Kenneth Feld, the Ringling Brothers producer, was one of the producers of The Three Musketeers, which was Wagner's Broadway debut.
