Lucas Hnath’s Tony Award-nominated play A Doll’s House, Part 2 will offer a special May 18 midnight performance to benefit The Actor’s Fund. A portion of the tickets for the Thursday night performance have also been made available to the general public for $59.
Currently playing the John Golden Theatre, the play earned eight Tony Award nominations including Best Play, Best Direction (Sam Gold), and nominations for the entire company: Laurie Metcalf, Chris Cooper, Jayne Houdyshell, and Condola Rashad. It was also nominated for Best Costume Design of a Play (David Zinn), and Best Lighting Design of a Play (Jennifer Tipton).

The play picks up several years after the events of Ibsen’s 1879 drama, which ends with Nora leaving her husband and children to pursue her own happiness and livelihood. Now, she returns to her family—for reasons unknown to those she once left behind.
A Doll’s House, Part 2 has scenic design by Miriam Buether, sound design by Leon Rothenberg, hair and makeup design by Luc Verschueren/Campbell Young Associates, and projection design by Peter Nigrini.
Scott Rudin produces the drama, which is scheduled to play a 16-week limited engagement.
