The situational comedy — which just earned 15 Emmy Award nominations, the most it has ever amassed — will air its season premiere, Sept. 29 at 8:30 PM on both coasts.

James Burrows (Emmy-nominated this season for "Will & Grace") will direct the series' first live episode — East Coast audiences will view the first show shot at 5:30 PM (PT) while West Coast viewers will see the version shot at 8:30 PM (PT). Different jokes will be used in each broadcast, according to an NBC release.

Alec Baldwin (Twentieth Century) — who earned an Emmy nom for his guest turn on "Will & Grace" — will return for the live shows with another returning guest star Eric Stoltz (Sly Fox). They join regular stars Eric McCormack (The Music Man), Debra Messing (Donald Margulies’ Collected Stories), Sean Hayes ("Pieces of April") and Megan Mullally (How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying).

The 12-time Emmy award winning show was created by executive producers David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. Alex Herschlag and Dave Flebotte serve as executive producers and showrunners. James Burrows serves as director and executive producer.
