The non-profit arts organization, Rosie's Broadway Kids, founded in 2003 by O'Donnell and her partner Kelli, provides free comprehensive instruction in musical theatre to low-income school students. The students involved will perform "This Little Light of Mine" for the upcoming holiday album entitled "Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure."

For the two-disc set, Rosie's Broadway Kids will join such notable Broadway performers as David Hyde Pierce (Curtains), Christian Hoff (Tony Award winner from Jersey Boys), Laura Osnes & Max Crumm (Grease), Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera), Julia Murney (Wicked), Max von Essen (Les Miserables) and Seth Rudetsky (The Ritz).

In addition, the casts of many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows will be represented, including Wicked, Spring Awakening, Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, The Color Purple, Curtains, Grease, Altar Boyz, Mamma Mia!, Avenue Q, Hairspray, The Lion King, Naked Boys Singing, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Rent, The Ritz, and The Phantom of The Opera.
