These simultaneous Hollywood stars and Broadway names will shine in highly anticipated new screen series and feature films to begin shooting in the coming months. Johansson will bring to life one of novelist Edith Wharton's 1913 masterpieces, "The Custom of The Country," for SonyTV, penned by playwright Christopher Hampton. According to Deadline.com, "'Custom Of The Country' is described as a scathing story of ambition featuring one of the most ruthless heroines in literature, Undine Spragg, who will be played by Johansson in her first major TV role. Undine is as unscrupulous as she is magnetically beautiful. Her rise to the top of New York’s high society from her nouveau riche roots provides a provocative and thoroughly modern commentary on the upwardly mobile and the aspirations that eventually cause their ruin." Originally written as a feature script adaptation, a feature project was published in Hampton's 2002 collection of screenplays.

Zeta-Jones will star in the Oliver Parker directed feature adaptation of the classic British sitcom, "Dad’s Army," from Universal Pictures. The original British sitcom ran in the late 1960's through 1977 and this transfer will be penned by Hamish McColl. Zeta-Jones will be joined by stage and screen legend Michael Gambon and Bill Nighy amongst others. According to Deadline, "the story is set in 1944 as the Allies are poised to invade France and finally defeat the German army. But in Walmington-on-Sea, morale amongst the Home Guard (local volunteers otherwise ineligible for military service) is low. Their new mission to patrol the Dover army base is a great chance to revive their spirits and reputation – until glamorous journalist Rose Winters arrives to write about their exploits, setting the pulses racing and putting the local women on red alert."

Finally, Cranston (All The Way), according to the Hollywood Reporter, is attached to the new film "The Infiltrator," produced by U.K. production company Good Films. Brad Furman will direct - having worked with Cranston on "The Lincoln Lawyer." The film has been adapted for the screen by Ellen Brown Furman, "and is described as an investigative thriller based on Robert Mazur’s autobiography of the same name. Cranston will play Customs and Excise Agent Mazur and his undercover alias, Bob Musella."
