Broadway News Broadway’s The Cher Show Announces Digital Ticket Lottery The new bio-musical about the entertainment legend begins performances November 1 at the Neil Simon Theatre.

The Cher Show will offer a digital ticket lottery for $30 seats to the new musical that begins previews November 1 at the Neil Simon Theatre ahead of a December 3 opening night on Broadway. Lottery seat locations may vary per performance but will always include seats in the first row.

For matinee performances, the lottery opens at 8 PM the day prior and will close at 9 AM the day of the performance. For evening performances, the lottery opens at 8 AM the day of the performance and closes at 2 PM.

Directed by Jason Moore (Avenue Q, Pitch Perfect), The Cher Show features a book by Jersey Boys Tony Award winner Rick Elice and costumes by designer Bob Mackie, who has collaborated with Cher over the years on myriad iconic looks, dating back to her 1967 appearance on The Carol Burnett Show. Cher has been involved in the show's development.

Bringing the music icon to the stage are three women who play Cher at various stages of her life: Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks (Wicked, Finding Neverland), and Micaela Diamond (NBC’s recent live Jesus Christ Superstar).

The musical has choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies) and orchestrations, arrangements, and musical supervision by Tony Award winner Daryl Waters (Memphis).

The production also has scenic design by Christine Jones (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and Brett Banakis (The Glass Menagerie), lighting design by Tony winner Kevin Adams (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), sound design by Nevin Steinberg (Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen), and video and projection design by Darrel Maloney. Casting is by Telsey + Company/Patrick Goodwin, CSA.

The musical arrives in New York following a Chicago premiere last summer.
