The drama opens the new season for the New Haven, Connecticut, company Sept. 20 for a run through Oct. 15 at Stage II. (The New York run is slated for Nov. 7-Dec. 10.). Chay Yew (Red) directs.

Durango follows of the story of a widowed father who embarks on one more family road trip with his two sons but gets more than he bargained for. The work completes Cho's trilogy of plays set in the great American Southwest, including Architecture of Loss (seen at New York Theatre Workshop) and BFE (Long Wharf Theatre, Playwrights Horizons).

Yaegashi (who also appeared on Broadway in A Naked Girl on the Appian Way) is joined in the cast by James Saito (BFE, Flower Drum Song), Ross Bickell (Noises Off, The Iceman Cometh), Jon Norman Schneider (Citizen 13559: The Journal of Ben Uchida - Kennedy Center) and Jay Sullivan (Dog Sees God - Soho Repertory Theatre).

The production features original songs by Cho and additional music by Fabian Obispo. The design team for Durango includes Dan Ostling (set), Linda Cho (costumes), Paul Whitaker (lighting) and Obispo (sound).

The new season at the Long Wharf continues with Clifford Odets'Rocket to the Moon (Oct. 25-Nov. 19), Joe Mantello's adaptation of David Sedaris' The Santaland Diaries (Nov. 29-Dec. 31), the Dale Wasserman, Joe Darion and Mitch Leigh musical Man of La Mancha (Feb. 21-March 18, 2007) and an as-yet untitled David Cale (Floyd and Clea Under the Western Sky) and Dael Orlandersmith (Yellowman) musical (March 28-April 29, 2007).
