Here, Shields sits down on "Good Morning America" to talk with ABC's Robin Roberts about taking on The Addams Family. The actress chats about learning the role by herself and how excited she is to take over for Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth. Shields has not yet performed the show in its entirety on stage with the rest of The Addams Family company, so she says that she must "be ready for anything."

ABC also offers a glimpse at Shields' career, which includes performing in the Broadway musicals Grease, Chicago, Cabaret and Wonderful Town.
