Kerry O'Malley, who portrayed the Baker's Wife in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods, co-stars in the new series. O'Malley told Playbill.com that Showtime has picked up the series for 11 episodes, and shooting is scheduled to begin in Providence this June. "It's an east coast show," said O'Malley. "Lots of potential work for all those great east coast actors!" "Brotherhood," according to a press release, is "set against the disparate worlds of politicians and mob bosses, [and] looks at how gray good and evil can be. Placed in a fictional Irish neighborhood in Providence, Rhode Island, known as 'The Hill,' the series explores what lengths people go to achieve the elusive American dream."

"Brotherhood" also stars Jason Isaacs and Jason Clarke as Michael and Tommy Caffee, "two brothers on opposite sides of the law, determined to protect the neighborhood and what is theirs by whatever means necessary." The cast also features Annabeth Gish with Phillip Noyce as director.

On Broadway Kerry O'Malley has been seen in Into the Woods, Annie Get Your Gun, Cyrano and Translations as well as the City Center Encores! mounting of Promises, Promises. Her other theatrical credits include The Plough and the Stars; How I Learned to Drive; Bright Lights, Big City; Over the River and Through the Woods; The Oresteia; Elmer Gantry; and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. O'Malley's screen credits include "Costello," "The Mike O'Malley Show," "NYPD Blue," "Law & Order," "Brooklyn South" and "Rounders."
