Directed by Tony and Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon, who helmed Norris' Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park at Playwrights Horizons and on Broadway, the production will begin previews May 22, 2015, at the Mainstage Theater.

The Qualms began previews at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where Norris is an ensemble member, July 3. Directed by MacKinnon, the world-premiere production will open in Chicago July 13.

Norris' written works include Clybourne Park, Domesticated, The Low Road, The Infidel, Purple Heart, We All Went Down to Amsterdam, The Pain and the Itch, The Unmentionables and A Parallelogram.

"Thou shalt covet thy neighbor's wife," press notes state. "And thy neighbor, too, at this suburban get-together for partner-swapping couples. Drawn in by The Lifestyle's promise of freedom and titillation, newly-married Chris and Kristy attend an alcohol-fueled party for swingers, only to find themselves at odds with the idea of free love and, suddenly, each other. Idealism devolves into chaos in this sharp, sardonic assault on the struggle for power, and the sexual politics of getting laid."

Casting for The Qualms will be announced at a later date.

The 2014-15 Playwrights season also includes the New York premiere of Robert O'Hara's Bootycandy, Heidi Schreck's Grand Concourse, Samuel D. Hunter's Pocatello, Melissa James Gibson's Placebo and Jenny Schwartz and Todd Almond's Iowa.

Playwrights Horizons is located at 416 West 42nd Street. Tickets and more information are available by visiting
