The Hollywood Reporter says that Buckley will be part of CBS' "Vinegar Hill," based on A. Manette Ansay's book. The TV film will also include the talents of Tom Skerritt, Tim Guinee and the previously announced Mary-Louise Parker. According to the industry paper, "Vinegar Hill" concerns "a schoolteacher (Parker) and her husband (Guinee) who are down on their luck and, with their two children, are temporarily forced to move into the husband's parents' (Skerritt, Buckley) home. Once there, they discover that the parents have a loveless, bitter relationship." Blanchard will join Peter Falk and Katey Sagal for the CBS holiday film "A Christmas Without Ornaments." This will mark the third film that features Falk as the angel Max. According to the Reporter, the angel, "who first appears to a hardworking young woman (Blanchard) whose goal is to get a promotion so that she can get her younger brother out of foster care, is being reprimanded by a supervising angel (Sagal) sent to discipline him for contacting the wrong family in need."

Betty Buckley offered acclaimed performances in Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776 and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter. Also a TV ("Eight Is Enough") and film (Tender Mercies) star, the actress-singer devotes much of her time to concert appearances around the world. Her solo CD, "Stars and the Moon: Betty Buckley Live at the Donmar Warehouse," was nominated for a Grammy Award, and her newest recording, "The Doorway," is her first for the Fynsworth Alley label. The actress was also seen on the final season of the acclaimed HBO series "Oz," the detective drama "Monk" as well as the Lincoln Center revue, Elegies: A Song Cycle.

Tammy Blanchard, who was Tony-nominated for her performance in the title role of the recent Gypsy revival, won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries/Movie for her work as Judy Garland in "Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows." She also garnered Golden Globe, AFI TV and Golden Satellite award nominations for that performance. A New Jersey native, Blanchard's other credits include "Stealing Harvard," "We Were the Mulvaneys" and three years on the CBS daytime serial "Guiding Light." In addition to her Tony nomination for her role as Louise in Gypsy, Blanchard also won a Theatre World Award for her work in the classic musical.
