The corrupter ( "El Corruptor"), a play written by Martin Vives and Mercedes Rio Saa, opened in Buenos Aires July 31, presented by the "Movimiento Teatral Norte" (North's Theatrical Movement), for a limited run of three months.
The play tells of a powerful man hiding behind his public image, practicing delinquency, and trying to corrupt ordinary people.
The play had its premiere in 1983 in the "Teatro Armando Discepolo," with a cast led by Jose Maria Langlais (Man of La Mancha) and Gilda Lousek, directed by Edgardo Cane. This new production is directed by one of the play's authors, Vives. The cast includes Andrea Diz, Valeria Ruiz, Ariel Meter, Alberto Lobo and Sebastian Rubio.
