David Burnham, who appeared in the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, will star in the title role with Nine's Sara Gettelfinger as Bridget Allworthy/Lady Bellaston. Directed by Gabriel Barre, the remainder of the North Shore cast includes Jeremy Webb as Master Blifil, Angela Gaylor as Sophia Western, Larry Daggett as Mister Allworthy/Lord Fellamar, Stephen Bienskie as Reverend Summer/Captain Blifil/Mr. Fitzpatrick, Tim Jerome as Squire Western, Ron Wisniski as Mister Thwackum, Bill Buell as Mister Partridge, Sheri Sanders as Molly/Susan, Michelle Ragusa as Mrs. Fitzpatrick, Laura Marie Duncan as Jennie Jones/Mrs. Waters and Barbara McCulloh as Landlady/ Mrs. Summer. Tom Jones, which was first a comic novel and then a hit film starring Albert Finney, concerns Tom, "a likable lad with one small problem — he can't say no to beautiful women. His passions get him thrown out of his home and into big trouble with his true love, Sophia. Can young Tom resist temptation for just one day? Will there be a happy ending? Can true love prevail?"

Based on a concept by John Doyle from Henry Fielding's novel, Tom Jones features a book and lyrics by Paul Leigh with music by George Stiles in collaboration with Daniel B. Brambilla and Vera Guerin. The remainder of the creative team comprises Christopher Gattelli (choreography), Lynne Shankel (musical direction), Christopher Jahnke (orchestrations), James Youmans (scenic design), John A. Stone (sound design), Pamela Scofield (costume design) and Gerard Kelly (wig design).
