PlayBlog Burtka's Back David Burtka, who made his Broadway debut as Tulsa in the 2003 revival of Gypsy starring Bernadette Peters, is returning to “How I Met Your Mother” on CBS.

He will reprise his role as Scooter, Lily’s high school boyfriend/stalker. After a recent visit to the show’s set, Entertainment Weekly columnist Michael Ausiello spilled some beans on that relationship: “Spoiler alert: He’s still really into her.”

Burtka, who is the real-life partner of “How I Met Your Mother” star Neil Patrick Harris, appeared Off-Broadway in Edward Albee’s The Play About the Baby, and he originated the role of Matt in the musical version of The Opposite of Sex

In 2009, Burtka graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Pasadena, spurring speculation that he was giving up acting to become a chef. At least for the moment, that rumor seems to be false.
