The tale of a group of misfits and loners temporarily stuck at a roadside diner will be enacted by Elizabeth Banks as sexy saloon dancer Cherie and Logan Marshall-Green as Bo Decker as the good-hearted cowboy who basically kidnaps Cherie with the intent of taking her back to his ranch as his wife. Supporting them is Bill Camp as fatalistic Dr. Gerald Lyman, Leon Addison Brown as Bo's easygoing sidekick Virgil Blessing, Laura Heisler as Elma Duckworth, Elizabeth Marvel as diner waitress Grace Hoyland, Daniel Oreskes as Will Masters, and John Douglas Thompson as Carl.

The play debuted on Broadway in 1955 with Kim Stanley as Cherie and Albert Salmi as Bo. A young Elaine Stritch played Grace. The show was author William Inge's biggest Broadway success. (It played exactly one more performance than his previous hit Picnic.) It was revived on Broadway in 1996 with Billy Crudup as Bo and Mary-Louise Parker as Cherie. The movie version, directed by Joshua Logan, gave Marilyn Monroe one of her most memorable roles.

Tickets may be purchased by calling (413) 597-3400, or by visiting the box office in person.
