An impressive array of Broadway choreographers will discuss their craft tonight, May 29, in a seminar titled, "Choreography In The Theatre: Where We Are Today, And Where We're Going."
Participating in the Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation talk will be Wayne Cilento (Dream), Kathleen Marshall (Violet and artistic director of City Center's Encores! Series), Joey McKneeley (The Life), Susan Stroman (Steel Pier) and Lynne Taylor-Corbet (Titanic). The 5 PM roundtable will take place at CAP 21 Studios, 18 West 18th St., 6th Floor.
On June 10, "Financial Planning For Your Future," will be the topic. Terry Frankenburger, a theatre producer and financial planner with Merrill Lynch will offer a seminar on the economics of a life in theatre. That seminar will be held at SDCF's boardroom, 1501 Broadway, Suite 1701, at 5:30 PM.
According to associate director James Graves, last-minute changes can always occur, but the above names are confirmed. He also explained that the Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation was formed as a branch of the Society of Stage Directors & Choreographers but is now a separate, though connected, organization with its own board of directors.
Tickets for non-members of SDCF are $5 for each seminar and can be reserved at (212) 302-5359. --By David Lefkowitz
