News Caffey's 3 Mo' Divas! Filmed for PBS 3 Mo' Divas!, which is described as a "musical celebration of class, sass and style," has been filmed for broadcast on both PBS and HDNet.

Created, directed and choreographed by Marion J. Caffey, 3 Mo' Divas! was filmed July 1-2 at the Denver Center Theater Company in Denver, CO. The filmed version stars Nova Payton (Effie White in the Prince Music Theater's Dreamgirls), Laurice Lanier (Broadway's La Bohème) and Jamet Pittman (NYCO's Porgy and Bess). Divas world premiered in March 2004 at San Diego Repertory Theatre and also played an acclaimed stint at the Arena Stage in Washington, DC. Featuring an onstage orchestra, the production, according to press notes, "spans eight musical forms and features 400 years of music in a single evening . . . from Bach to Cole Porter, Gershwin to Cab Calloway and Ellington to The Supremes."

3 Mo' Divas is scheduled to air on HDNet, the first all-high definition national television network, in October 2008. Divas will begin airing on PBS stations around the country in March 2009.
